AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM
About Us
The afterschool program at TKA is licensed by Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). The program is developed guided by the Five Cs Model of Positive Youth Development (Lerner, 2005): Competence, Confidence, Caring, Character, and Connection, which are essential components for positive child/youth development. Our program balances learning and play in an engaging, relaxed environment, fostering a positive learning experience for each child.
Our curriculum balances learning and play in an engaging, relaxed environment, fostering a positive learning experience. In addition to knowledge and skills learning, we emphasize soft skills development (e.g., social emotional skills, public speaking, confidence, logics and problem-solving skills) that are essential for positive development. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where responsible and caring teachers accompany children after school, fostering strong teacher-student relationships, peer interactions, and social-emotional skills.
